A Few Pictures of Progress
December 13, 2003

I took a few shots of this weeks progress.

Gold GT Stripes

It was my first opportunity to get pictures of the stripes, which I think look really good.  These photos do not do them justice at all.  Once the car is back together I will have to get some shots of them in the sunlight.  Not to mention from a better angle.

The gold stripes are on.
Too bad the car is not on the ground so I could get a shot of it in the sunlight.

New brakes

Mitch was working on the brakes when I got there.  He had tried to start at the rear, but the axels need to be turned down to clear the inside of the new hats.  What a pain; we had to do this the last time too.

The front brakes are going quite nicely though.  I am quite pleased with the way the powder-coated calipers turned out.  This way I don't have to worry about ruining them when I bleed the brakes.  I also really like the looks of the two-piece rotors, and the better cooling will be nice on the track.

I had the calipers powder-coated because the other "coating" was just paint.
...and we know what happens to paint when brake fluid hits it.
How do you like my two-piece rotors?
The undercarriage is filthy.  It's going to take forever to clean all the bodyshop dust off of it.
